Profhilo is a groundbreaking hyaluronic acid-based skin booster treatment that aims to improve the overall quality of the skin while targeting key signs of ageing, such as dull, tired-looking skin.
Profhilo treatments involve a set series of injections around the face, including under the eye area. Although it is not a dermal filler, Profhilo does help to boost collagen and elastin production, helping to treat mild fine lines around the undereye area. This article will show the effects of Profilo for the eyes before and after, while answering a few common questions about the injectable treatment.

Effects of Getting Profhilo Treatment for Your Eyes
Profhilo is a great option for patients who are looking to fight the earlier, mild signs of ageing. For this reason, Profhilo treatment can be a suitable alternative for patients who are not yet ready to undergo more intensive, volumizing treatments such as dermal fillers or tear trough fillers. Instead, Profhilo patients can enjoy healthier, thicker skin without the use of riskier dermal fillers.
Profhilo can offer the following benefits for the eyes:
- Stimulates collagen and elastin production for less skin laxity and smoother, firmer under-eyes
- Improves the overall skin tone and quality of ageing skin, reducing texture and dullness around the eyes for a more awakened look
- Reduces mild skin laxity around the eyes for a more youthful appearance

Where Profhilo Injections Are Done for Your Eyes
Profhilo treatment is an injectable hyaluronic acid that is typically injected across the face and sometimes the neck at a series of set injection points to allow for even distribution. This is known as the Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique and involves hyaluronic acid injections in the upper cheek, nasal base, lower cheek, jawline, and chin.
The hyaluronic acid injections in the upper cheeks provide the most benefit for the under-eye area, though improvements across the skin of the face create a holistic boost for all of the features, including the eyes.
What to Expect From Your Profhilo Eye Procedure
Profhilo is administered via a small needle across the face using the BAP technique – five pre-determined injection sites on each side of the face. These are positioned to avoid impeding any major nerves or blood vessels.
For first-time patients, two Profhilo sessions of hyaluronic acid injections are required, spaced one month apart.
How Long Does It Take to See Results?
Patients can enjoy some of the hydrating and skin rejuvenation effects of Profhilo after the first session, though they will need to wait until both sessions are complete for the full effects to become apparent. This gives the body sufficient time to produce the collagen and elastin that is stimulated when hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin.
After this, patients can enjoy the results for up to one year and may choose to undergo maintenance sessions annually to ‘top up’ their results.
