Breast Reduction With Liposuction

Breast Reduction With Liposuction

Breast reduction with liposuction is a surgical procedure that has become increasingly more popular over the past couple of decades. Not only is the surgery both versatile and effective, but it’s also a much less invasive alternative to traditional breast reduction surgery.

Dr Omar Tillo is a double board-certified surgeon who specialises in breast reduction. With extensive experience in performing breast reductions with liposuction, he has the skills and expertise to design a bespoke surgical approach, taking into account each patient’s unique anatomy and desired aesthetic.

Benefits of Breast Reduction with Liposuction

There are a number of benefits of having breast reduction surgery with liposuction:

  • Less invasive – Breast liposuction requires fewer incisions than a traditional breast reduction. This procedure also avoids the need for general anaesthetic, which may create additional risk.
  • Removes stubborn fat – Breast liposuction removes stubborn fat deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise.
  • Smaller nipples – Removing additional weight from the breasts can prevent the nipples from stretching and growing in appearance.

Ideal Candidate for Breast Liposuction

The best candidates for breast liposuction typically have breasts that contain a large proportion of fat. This is most common among women over the age of 40, who are either in menopause or have already passed through the biological change.

Liposuction breast reduction is also a popular procedure among women who are concerned about the scarring typically associated with traditional breast reduction surgery.

How Much Does Breast Reduction with Liposuction Cost?

The cost of breast liposuction at the CREO Clinic starts from £4,500. However, a full price breakdown will only be available following a 1-to-1 consultation with our breast reconstruction specialist, Dr. Omar Tillo, where you will design a bespoke treatment plan.

Breast Reduction with Liposuction Procedure

The procedure can be performed under sedation, general anaesthetic, or in some cases, local. Once this has been administered, the surgeon will make a set of small incisions around the breasts to target stubborn fat deposits.

Through the incisions, a small cannula is inserted to break up and remove the fat. Finally, the incisions are closed using sutures.

How Long is Breast Liposuction Recovery?

The recovery period following breast reduction with liposuction is notably shorter than the recovery time associated with a traditional breast reduction surgery. Most patients are able to return to work and regular day-to-day activities within a couple of weeks, while exercise can be resumed a month after surgery.

After the procedure, you’ll experience a gradual decrease in swelling over the first two to three months. You may detect some temporary breast lumps in the first few weeks. However, these are part of the normal healing process and shouldn’t be visible.

We recommend wearing a compression garment during the first six weeks of the recovery period to help reduce swelling and keep the breasts in the best possible shape.

When Can You See Breast Liposuction Results?

After the procedure, you’ll see a noticeable difference in your breast size. They may feel tight at first, and you may experience side effects such as swelling and bruising. However, as your body heals, your breasts will soon settle into their intended position and feel natural.

The final results of breast liposuction typically become visible once the post-surgical swelling has completely subsided, which can take up to three months.
