How to Keep Boobs Perky

How To Keep Boobs Perky

It is only natural to wish to maintain the youthful perkiness of your breasts, but it can be difficult to decide how to do so.

At the CREO Clinic, our experienced cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Omar Tillo, is an expert in the art of both breast reductions and breast lifts, both of which can help restore perkiness to your breasts.

In this article, we will explore a variety of techniques, both non-surgical and surgical, to help you decide the right option for keeping your breasts perky.

Why Do Breasts Start to Sag?

There are a few different causes of sagging in the breasts:

  • Aging – As women age, the breast tissue stretches and loses the elasticity that allows for the plumpness.
  • Overly Large Breasts – The heavier your breasts are, the more effect gravity has on them. It will also stretch the breast tissue.
  • UV Rays – Ultraviolet light from the Sun can cause the elasticity of your breasts to weaken over time.
  • Bad Bra – A poorly fitting bra can mean your breasts are unsupported and likely to lose their shape in the long term.

Remedies for Perky Breasts that Don’t Work

There are some home remedies to mitigate sagging and keep boobs perky for which there is scant scientific evidence. For example, rubbing cucumber and egg yolk or honey and yogurt on your breasts are totally unproven remedies for sagging.

Make sure to thoroughly research any method before you begin using it.

Topical Products Won’t Reverse Sagging Breasts

Most topically applied products are unlikely to significantly deal with sagging breasts, and while some may have a level of cosmetic impact, there are no topical products that will reverse the effects of sagging for perky boobs.

Non-Surgical Options for Perky Breasts

There are some non-surgical routes to try that may have some effect on the perkiness of your breasts:

Wear the Right Bra

Finding a bra that fits you perfectly is often a challenge. A proper fitting one can be a good way to ensure your bra is giving you the correct support, so your boobs look perky.

Reduce Breast Fat with Exercise

Weight gain is not the only reason your breasts increase in size. However, it is true that reducing your weight through regular exercise is likely to reduce your breast size overall. This will decrease the downward pull of gravity on your breasts.

Avoid Smoking

Quitting smoking, or avoiding it in the first place, is a good way to prevent damage to the elasticity of the tissues in your breasts.

Surgical Solutions for Perky Breasts

Procedures designed to reshape your breasts can be an excellent and effective long-term solution for sagging breasts.

Breast Lift Changes the Shape of the Breasts

One way to improve the form and perkiness of your breasts is to alter their shape through a breast lift

Whether a breast reduction or a breast lift is suitable for you will depend on a range of factors, including your cosmetic goals.

Benefits of Breast Lift

Breast lift surgery can have innumerable important benefits to the appearance of your breasts. It can:

  • Make subtle or drastic changes – Different incisions can create different effects according to the severity of your sagging
  • Adjust your nipples – A lift can realign your nipples, allowing them to sit in a higher, more youthful position
  • Firm up your breasts – A breast lift surgery can tighten and firm up the skin of your breasts, giving them a plumper look

How Much Does Breast Lift Cost?

At the CREO Clinic in London, a breast lift surgery starts from £8,500. Financing options are also available.

Due to the bespoke nature of our breast lift procedures, a full cost breakdown will only be available to you after having your initial consultation.

Breast Lift Procedure

The incisions used in a breast lift will depend greatly on your needs.

For smaller adjustments, a crescent lift or periareolar lift may be appropriate. To make more extensive changes, a vertical lift or an inverted T lift may be a better fit.

Once incisions are made, the skin will be removed in different sizes and shapes according to the chosen method. The resulting gap is then closed back up, tightening up and raising the level of your breast accordingly.

How Long is Breast Lift Recovery?

You should be able to return to most activities, like work and light exercise, after two weeks of recovery.

However, it may be necessary to wait until at least six weeks after your surgery to return to your full routine. Rushing into activities before your surgeon says it is safe to do so could jeopardise your results and delay healing.

When Can You See Breast Lift Results?

You will see the difference in the shape and size of your breasts immediately after the operation. After three months have passed, the post-procedural swelling should have subsided, and the final results of your breast lift will be visible.

Breast Reduction Removes Excess Tissue

Many women decide that breast reduction is a worthwhile method for targeting excess breast tissue, thereby reducing the overall size of their breasts in order to maintain their perkiness.

Benefits of Breast Reduction

Not only can it combat sagging by dampening the impact of gravity, but a breast reduction has a host of other benefits:.

  • Allows Active Lifestyle – Exercise can become mature with larger breasts, and a reduction can lighten your load, making a new, healthier lifestyle possible.
  • Prevents Rashes – Bothersome rashes can develop in the folds of your breasts when there is excess tissue. Removing this excess tissue will help resolve these issues.

How Much Does Breast Reduction Cost?

Understanding the cost of a reduction will be vitally important for your planning.

At the CREO Clinic in London, a breast reduction begins from £8,900.

We do also offer financing options provided by Chrysalis, a trusted financing partner who will help you spread the cost if necessary.

As every surgery is bespoke so as to meet your needs, the full cost breakdown will only be available after your first consultation.

Breast Reduction Procedure

There are different incisions used during a breast reduction, depending on the amount of tissue you need removed.

A circular incision may be enough to make a small reduction, while an anchor-shaped incision or lollipop incision may be preferable for a larger reduction.

All breast reductions are performed under general anesthesia.

How Long is Breast Reduction Recovery?

You will feel most delicate in your first week of recovery after a breast reduction, but by your second week, you should be able to return to work and return to most daily activities and light exercise.

After six weeks, you should have fully recovered from the surgery.

When Can You See Breast Reduction Results?

After the post-surgical swelling has subsided, your perky boobs and overall final results will become visible. This should be after at least three months have passed.
