Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Cost

Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Cost

Fat transfer breast augmentation is a highly bespoke surgery that involves both fat transfer and liposuction procedures. As such, the cost can vary from patient to patient. However, in this article, we’ll break down the average cost of the surgery at the CREO Clinic.

How Much Does Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Cost?

The cost of fat transfer breast augmentation at the CREO Clinic starts from £8,500. The price may vary depending on the number of liposuction treatment areas you require and the surgical complexity of your procedure. You will receive the exact price of your surgery after attending a consultation with our surgeon, where you will discuss a bespoke treatment plan.

What’s Included in the Price?

The price mentioned above includes the cost of performing liposuction on one area of the body. In most cases, this is sufficient to create the patient’s desired enhancement.

The above price is also inclusive of anaesthetics, surgeon’s fees, nurses’ fees, use of a CQC registered surgical facility, surgical dressings, compression garments, and follow-up visits to assess your recovery.

Additional Fat Transfer Costs

If you require liposuction on more than one area of the body due to having less excess body fat or wish to contour more areas, you will incur an additional cost. Furthermore, you will need to cover the cost of any tests, scans, and prescription medications yourself. You will also be charged separately if you require a revision procedure or wish to tweak the results of your fat transfer.

Is Fat Transfer Covered by Insurance?

Fat transfer is not usually covered by insurance as it is considered a cosmetic procedure. In some cases, your insurance may cover the surgery cost if it is performed for reconstructive purposes. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm.

Fat Transfer Benefits

A fat transfer has many benefits, as not only does it enhance the breasts and other areas of the body, but it can also correct uneven breasts and sculpt the body with liposuction to provide a full-body contour.

Additionally, as it provides permanent results, it can be a more cost-effective procedure in comparison to injectable fillers, which require repeat procedures, or breast implants, which will likely need to be removed or replaced after several years. However, fat transfer can also be combined with breast implants to produce more natural-looking results, a technique known as composite breast augmentation.

Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Procedure

A fat transfer breast augmentation takes around 2-3 hours to perform under sedation or general anaesthesia. First, the surgeon will perform liposuction in predetermined areas of the body. The harvested fat will then be purified and prepared for injection. Afterwards, the surgeon will inject the fat into specific areas of the breast to create the desired enhancement and shape.

Recovery

You will be provided with detailed aftercare instructions to guide you through your fat transfer breast augmentation recovery. You will experience swelling and bruising in your breasts and the liposuctioned areas, which will gradually dissipate in a few days. Typically, most patients can return to work and light activities after 1-2 weeks and resume strenuous activities after 4-6 weeks.

Results

You will notice the results of your fat transfer around 3-6 months after surgery as the residual swelling dissipates, the fat grafts settle, and your skin expands to accommodate the injected volume. Whereas, your liposuction results will be apparent in 6-12 weeks.

Additionally, you should expect to see a 30-50% reduction in the initial volume during this period, as not all fat grafts will survive after liposuction. However, your surgeon will account for this loss by injecting the necessary amount of fat to produce your desired volume.

Is Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Worth It?

The benefits of a fat transfer breast augmentation make it a worthwhile solution for those who would like to enhance their breasts and contour areas with excess fat. In particular, many women are drawn to the procedure as it is an organic method of adding volume, results in minimal scarring, and delivers natural-looking results that augment the breasts by around one cup size. Additionally, the permanent result of fat transfer to the breasts make it a cost-effective procedure for many patients.
