BodyTite vs Liposuction

When considering BodyTite vs Liposuction, it is important to differentiate both the method and the object of the two procedures.

BodyTite is a minimally invasive treatment that utilises Radio-Frequency Assisted Liposuction (RFAL) technology. BodyTite’s main purpose is to tighten the skin, while also contributing to fat reduction. Liposuction involves separating and removing small areas of fat that are usually harder to target, breaking down the fat cells and removing them. Thus, focusing solely on removing fat.

BodyTite used in conjunction with Liposuction can assist the fat removal process and also ensure that the skin remains tight thus avoiding any post-liposuction sagging usually associated with fat loss.

BodyTite vs. Liposuction: What Are the Differences?

LiposuctionBodyTite
Liposuction is performed under sedation or general anaesthesiaBodyTite is performed under local anaesthesia or sedation
Liposuction exclusively targets fat removalBodyTite concerns both skin tightening and some fat removal
The downtime and recovery are relatively substantial with liposuctionBodyTite’s downtime and recovery are significantly shorter than with liposuction

Benefits of BodyTite and Liposuction

Liposuction surgery and BodyTite treatment are both standalone procedures. However, when combined, they result in highly effective body contouring outcomes that relate both to fat removal and substantial tightening of the skin. We are often asked by our patients and potential clients why undergoing liposuction and BodyTite in conjunction is as beneficial as it is. Simply put, when we complement a liposuction procedure with the BodyTite treatment, we work towards:

  • High-quality skin tightening
  • Improved fat reduction
  • Improved recovery

What is BodyTite?

BodyTite is a minimally invasive cosmetic surgery procedure used to contour the body. It is performed to contour the body, eliminate fat and tighten the skin simultaneously. It utilises radio-frequency (RF) energy to simultaneously tighten the skin while permanently removing fat cells. BodyTite is considered to be the most effective body sculpting treatment in the plastic surgery industry.

BodyTite Treatment Procedure

The BodyTite heated hand-piece is inserted underneath the patient’s skin surface through a tiny incision in the skin. This triggers an initial fat removal process that is substantially gentler and less traumatic to the body than typically seen with traditional liposuction or other forms of cosmetic surgery. While eliminating the fat, the energy also works to tighten the saggy skin in the area.

The precise and controlled heating effect of BodyTite can target stubborn areas of fat without damaging any surrounding tissue. Moreover, it also contracts the skin and stimulates a healing response that produces new collagen and elastin cells that repair the affected area. A common treatment area for BodyTite is a hanging belly after C-section.

How much does BodyTite cost?

Prices for BodyTite start from £6,900 for one area. BodyTite pricing depends on the size of the area that you are treating and whether it is combined with liposuction.

BodyTite Results

Fat reduction induced by BodyTite is immediately visible. You will be able to see a difference in skin tightness and circumference of an area immediately.

Further improvements will be noticeable once any swelling and bruising have subsided and as this procedure stimulates a wound healing response. Continuous tightening will occur over the next 2 to 4 months achieving your new sculpted look.

What is Liposuction?

We perform Liposuction under sedation or general anaesthesia, thus ensuring a painless procedure.

During the procedure, our surgeon will first mark the areas of your body where fat will be removed. Our surgeon will then:

  • Inject a solution containing anaesthetic and medicine, to reduce blood loss, bruising and swelling
  • A small incision will be made to insert a suction tube in order to remove fat.
  • Among other techniques, we use PAL (Power Assisted Liposuction) to break down the fat. The PAL technique is clinically approved and proven to significantly reduce bruising.

During the fat removal, our doctor will also drain any excess body fluids. The procedure usually takes one to three hours, depending on the breadth of the targeted area and amount of fat.

How Much Does Liposuction Cost?

The typical cost of liposuction starts from £3,900 for a small area such as the neck and £5,900 for a large area such as the abdomen. Any additional areas will be priced separately. Liposuction procedures are quoted depending on the number of areas being treated.

Liposuction Results

Liposuction results vary according to the individual. You will likely see some results immediately after surgery, but swelling and bruising associated with postoperative side effects will disguise the results. Most people see significant results from 6 weeks and final results 6 – 12 months after the operation.
