First, the surgeon will apply a topical numbing cream to the area being treated, thus making the procedure painless. Next, the Morpheus8 device which contains 24 microneedles is injected into a targeted area of the face or body in order to deliver the RF energy. The microneedles have a variety of depths which allows the surgeon to customise the treatment according to the patient’s individual needs by controlling the amount of RF energy being delivered into the skin.

Following the procedure, the treated area may be red, swollen, bruised, and tender. Furthermore, dotted marks may be visible on your skin in the places where the needles were injected.

However, it works by using ultrasound energy that penetrates the deeper layers of the skin to promote the production of collagen and elastic. The ultrasound waves from the device target the skin and fibrous tissue (which are composed of collagen) in a targeted area of the face to both tighten and lift the skin and surrounding muscles.

What Does Ultherapy Treat?

Ultherapy is used to treat saggy or wrinkled skin by tightening the skin and lifting the muscle layers in an area of the face, neck, or decolletage. However, adults of any age can benefit from the treatment since it is designed to slow down the ageing process. The treatment can be customised according to the needs of each patient by targeting smaller areas like the upper brow to the full face, neck, and decollete to achieve the desired outcome.

Ultherapy Cost

Ultherapy Procedure

The procedure lasts between 30-90 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. First, the clinician will clean the area being treated. You may feel a tingling sensation as the heat from the ultrasound waves radiates into the skin. This may result in mild discomfort and pain medication can be administered if necessary.

Ultherapy has almost no downtime. After the procedure, there may be some slight swelling and tenderness in the area which will gradually dissipate over a few days. However, most patients are able to carry on with their daily routine the next day.
