What is a Non-Surgical Face Lift?

A non-surgical facelift describes a range of treatments to tighten and rejuvenate the skin to achieve a more youthful aesthetic without the need for a traditional surgical facelift. A non-surgical facelift uses non-invasive technology to improve the skin’s overall quality while reducing wrinkles and tightening the skin.

As a result, patients who want to reap the benefits of a traditional facelift without the need for more extensive downtime are ideal candidates for these non-surgical alternatives.

Types of Non-Surgical Face Lifts Available

There are many different types of non-surgical facelifts available at the CREO Clinic that can achieve skin rejuvenation and tightening without the need for surgery:

Fotona 4D Laser Treatment

The 4D laser facelift by Fotona uses two different laser wavelengths in four different treatment modes to deliver comprehensive skin tightening and rejuvenation. This innovative, advanced treatment boosts collagen and elastin production to improve the skin’s quality, creating a youthful glow, improved skin complexion, and an overall lifted, firmer appearance.

The results from Fotona 4D are long-lasting, and no downtime is required, making it a highly sought-after alternative to the surgical facelift.

Morpheus8

Morpheus8 is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that combines microneedling with radiofrequency technology in order to rejuvenate and tighten the skin while improving its texture. Morpheus8 can be used to treat common signs of ageing on the face, like fine lines and wrinkles and lax, sagging skin.

Fillers

Dermal fillers can help to ‘fill out’ hollow areas of the face and fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother appearance.  By plumping up hollow and sagging skin with hyaluronic acid fillers, patients can restore volume to the face and smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables

Anti-ageing injections can also be used to prevent the development of new, static wrinkles by relaxing the muscles in the face that cause facial wrinkles to form. Overall, this can help patients look more youthful.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion describes a cosmetic procedure to exfoliate the top layer of facial skin in order to refine its texture and appearance. Although it doesn’t address sagging skin, microdermabrasion can contribute to a more youthful and refreshed aesthetic by targeting specific skin concerns like hyperpigmentation, dullness, and sun damage.

Microneedling

Microneedling can help to rejuvenate the skin by creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production. As a result, patients can enjoy smoother, glowing skin that feels firmer to the touch.

Thermage CPT

Thermage CPT, or Comfort Pulse Technology, is a non-invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency technology to stimulate collagen production and collagen remodelling. In doing so, patients can experience tightening and lifting effects, creating a more youthful aesthetic.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy is a non-surgical treatment that utilises ultrasound technology to lift and tighten the skin of the face, neck, and decolletage. This careful use of ultrasound energy penetrates the skin’s deep layers for controlled heating, stimulating collagen production. As a result, patients can enjoy rejuvenated, tighter skin.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels involve the application of a chemical solution to the skin to exfoliate it. The skin then begins to peel gradually, revealing a fresh layer of skin that is smoother and more youthful in appearance.

HIFU Treatment

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment is a cosmetic procedure to tighten and lift the skin. It works by using ultrasound energy to target specific layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and promoting tissue tightening. HIFU is typically used to rejuvenate and treat sagging skin for a lifted appearance.

What to Expect from a Non-Surgical Face Lift Procedure

All nonsurgical facelift treatments benefit from little to no downtime, meaning you can get back to your daily activities immediately. However, what you can expect can vary between treatments.

During your initial consultation, our specialists will assess your skin to determine the best treatment(s) to achieve your aesthetic goals. A package of different treatments may be advised depending on the results you wish to achieve.

Most non-surgical treatments, such as injectables and Fotona 4D, are minimally invasive procedures that require no anaesthetic, though topical numbing creams can be applied to ensure your comfort throughout treatment.

How Long Do Non-Surgical Face Lifts Last?

All non-surgical treatments provide long-lasting, but not permanent, results.

Patients can enjoy the effects of Fotona 4D and Morpheus8 for up to 1-2 years, after which maintenance sessions are recommended. However, injectable treatments like dermal fillers and anti-ageing injections may need to be repeated more regularly to continue their effects.

Areas Non-Surgical Face Lifts Can Treat

Non-surgical facelift treatments like Fotona 4D treat the skin across the face to ensure comprehensive skin tightening and rejuvenation effects. In addition, this laser protocol also targets specific areas of surface-level imperfections and uses an advanced intraoral technique to tighten the skin around the mouth (perioral lines).

Most laser facelift protocols on the market, however, don’t treat the skin around the eyes. For this reason, we use a separate laser protocol designed to treat the eye area specifically, called SmoothEye.

Skin boosters and Morpheus8 are also used across the face to allow for a holistic transformation of the facial skin. However, dermal fillers and anti-ageing injections are used to target specific areas of lax skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Ideal Candidates for Non-Surgical Face Lifts

Different patients will have differing suitability for various non-surgical facelift treatments.

Non-surgical facelift treatments are a minimally invasive treatment option ideal for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who seek to achieve skin rejuvenation and tightening without invasive surgical procedures that require more significant downtime.

During your consultation with our specialists, she will thoroughly assess your skin to determine your suitability for non-surgical facelift treatments. Overall, you should be in good health and have realistic expectations about the results non-surgical treatments can offer.

Who Shouldn’t Get Non-Surgical Face Lifts?

Patients with more extensive skin laxity may not be able to achieve significant tightening effects with non-surgical treatments alone and may be more suited to traditional facelift surgery.

In addition, patients with photosensitive skin may not be suitable for laser treatment, meaning you may wish to consider alternatives.

Typical Costs of Non-Surgical Face Lift Procedures

The cost of non-surgical facelift treatment can vary between treatments.

At the CREO Clinic, Fotona 4D starts from £795 per session, with Morpheus8 starting from £900 per session for the face.

The price of a non-surgical facelift using injectables can vary depending on the areas of the face requiring treatment and the number of sessions needed to achieve your desired results.

During your consultation with our specialists, the exact risks associated with treatment will be explained to you so that you remain informed at all times.
