Lip Laser Treatment

Lip laser treatments harness laser technology to instantly rejuvenate, plump, and shape the lips by stimulating the body’s own collagen remodelling.

LipLase by Fotona is an innovative laser lip treatment that offers a natural alternative to dermal fillers for patients who wish to avoid needles, which makes it a kind of non surgical facelift.

By harnessing mild laser energy to stimulate collagen regeneration, LipLase effectively increases the volume of the lips, creating a smoother appearance.

You will be a good candidate for LipLase if:

    • You desire fuller, smoother lips
    • You are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
    • You are in good health and don’t take any photosensitive medications
    • You have realistic expectations about the results that LipLase can achieve

Your eligibility for LipLase will be fully assessed during a 1-on-1 consultation with our laser lip specialist.

How Much Do LipLase Treatments Cost?

The price of LipLase at the CREO Clinic starts from £290 per session. The number of sessions required to achieve a desired result may vary between patients, and we will provide further information following your initial consultation.

    What to Expect

    Consultation

During your consultation we will ask you about your medical history, to identify any factors that may mean that laser lip treatment isn’t suitable for you. For example, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you take any medications that make you sensitive to laser beam energy.

We will thoroughly assess your lips, and you will be given an opportunity to discuss your aesthetic concerns.

If you choose to go ahead with treatment, you will need to undergo a patch test to ensure that you are able to tolerate the laser. Finally, a bespoke LipLase treatment plan will be designed for you.

    The Procedure

The Fotona LipLase creates minimal discomfort, not requiring an anaesthetic. We will direct the laser to deliver heat energy to the deeper layers of the lips, which stimulates elastin and collagen production. Both the outside of the lips and the surrounding skin will be treated, as well as the inner lips, in order to stimulate collagen from both sides of the mouth.

Overall, LipLase delivers an instant boost in the plumpness of the lips, creating a more defined shape and smoothing out any wrinkles around the lip area.

It is recommended that you undergo 3-4 treatments, spaced 2-4 weeks apart, to get the most out of your treatments and ensure long-lasting results.

    Recovery & Aftercare

Thanks to its non-invasive nature, LipLase does not require any downtime, meaning that you will be able to return to your normal daily activities immediately. However, some activities should be avoided, including unprotected sun exposure.

Patients can expect to go through three key stages as their lips heal:

    • Stage 1 – Typically lasts 2-3 days after treatment. Some swelling is apparent.
    • Stage 2 – Patients usually experience superficial surface peeling, which can be alleviated with lip balm. This usually lasts 24-48 hours. During this time, it is particularly important to cover the entire treatment area in SPF 50+ to protect the skin and prevent further peeling.
    • Stage 3 – During this period, you can expect the new collagen to be produced (neocollagenesis), providing a plump and defined appearance that will continue to develop for up to six months.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is LipLase?

Liplase is a laser treatment using the Fotona laser that can plump and define the shape of the lips by boosting collagen production.

How does laser lip plumping work?

Laser lip plumping gently heats the deep layers of the skin in the lip area to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen. This then creates a more voluminous and smoother appearance.

    Do laser lip treatments hurt?

Laser lip treatments should produce minimal discomfort, but our laser specialists are experts in pain management and can administer numbing cream if necessary.

How long does each treatment take?

LipLase is a quick treatment and can be completed in 10-15 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

It is generally recommended that you undergo 3-4 treatments for long-lasting results.

When will I see the results?

Immediately after treatment, you will be able to enjoy fuller lips that have a more defined shape. In addition, the appearance of the lips will continue to improve for 4-6 months as the collagen develops.

Are there any risks or side effects to lip laser treatment?

LipLase is a safe and non-invasive laser treatment, and the risk of complications is rare. However, you may experience side effects such as swelling and peeling as your lips heal in the first few days after treatment.

What is the difference between laser lip plumping and lip filler?

Dermal filler is injected into the lips to add volume to the area. Laser lip plumping, however, works by stimulating collagen production in the lip area, creating a plumper appearance.

    How long does LipLase last?

LipLase produces long-lasting results, with the lips continuing to improve for four to six months after treatment. After this, patients may wish to top up their lips to maintain their smoother and plumper appearance.
