Skinny BBL in London

What is a Skinny Brazilian Butt Lift?

A skinny Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a variation of the typical BBL suited to those with a lower BMI who have less fat available for fat transfer. As a natural looking BBL result is achieved by keeping the patient’s body proportions in mind, leaner patients can reach the same desired result with smaller amounts of extracted fat.

At the CREO Clinic, Dr. Omar Tillo uses the BEST-F technique to perform the procedure, which he developed as a safer alternative to traditional Brazilian butt lifts.

As surgeons need to perform liposuction to prepare the fat grafts, patients need to have enough excess autologous fat for the procedure, meaning most patients that undergo a BBL have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 23-28. However, patients with a lower BMI may still qualify for a BBL and experience its benefits.

Although leaner patients with a BMI ranging lower than 23, generally do not have an abundance of excess fat, they might still have residual fat deposits that can only be removed through liposuction. That fat can then be used for the same purposes of enhancing the appearance of the buttocks, making it rounder and fuller in line with the patient’s specific desires.

Am I Eligible for a Skinny BBL?

Your eligibility for skinny BBL can only be determined following an assessment by Dr. Tillo. Decisive factors to be examined include individual body shape and anatomy. Generally speaking, most patients do possess sufficient fat reserves to be extracted for the purposes of a BBL.

However, patients with inadequate amounts of unwanted fat will be ineligible for BBL surgery, and will instead need buttock implants to add volume to the area.

Benefits of BBL Surgery for Leaner Patients

A brazilian butt lift procedure is a popular surgery as it enhances and contours the butt and sculpts other areas of the body with liposuction, helping patients achieve their ideal figure. In particular, skinny patients who are naturally less curvy and seek a BBL to add curves to their bodies and achieve an hourglass figure, might enjoy a more dramatic result Lean patients often have small pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise, which surgeons are able to remove with liposuction and transfer to the hips and buttocks to improve the appearance of hip dips and buttock deflation.

Skinny BBL Cost in London

In general, the cost of a skinny BBL at the CREO Clinic in London starts from £7,900. The price of a BBL varies depending on each patient’s surgical needs, including the number of areas requiring liposuction.

For a skinny BBL, the surgeon may need to cultivate fat from multiple areas of the body as there may not be enough excess fat tissue in one location. Thus, the procedure may be more expensive than a regular BBL. You will receive the exact cost of your surgery during your consultation.

For patients seeking to spread the cost of their treatment, the CREO Clinic also offers a range of financing options via our partners, Chrysalis Finance.

Why Choose CREO Clinic

At the Creo Clinic, we work with BBL specialist, Dr. Omar Tillo, a pioneer and key opinion leader in BBL surgery.

Based in the UK, Dr. Tillo has successfully completed hundreds of safe BBL procedures, garnering the skills and experience that are especially necessary to perform a specialised procedure such as the BBL with the best possible outcome.

To ensure that the BBL procedure is carried out safely and in order to significantly minimise its risks, Dr. Tillo had developed an alternative approach, the BEST-F technique. Utilising the fat around the buttock area and injecting the purified fat only over the gluteal muscles, the BEST-F technique is performed while monitoring the fat distribution using an ultrasound machine. The end result is then distinctly safe and natural.

Options for Skinny BBL Shapes

In addition to enhancing your butt, a BBL also reshapes it to provide the curves and contours you want. There are three main BBL shapes that patients request when consulting their surgeon:

  • A-shape (or upside-down heart): In an A-shaped butt, the upper region is smaller than the lower region, thus resembling an A-shape. People with A-shaped bottoms tend to have an hourglass figure, with a slim waist and wide hips.
  • O-shape (or bubble butt): An o-shaped butt is round in shape and has equal amounts of fat in the upper and lower regions. Most patients who want this shape have what is commonly called a ‘double bubble’ body shape, where they have excess fat in their love handles and lateral thighs.
  • Curvy: Many people who want a BBL desire a slightly curvy figure without exaggerating their butt into an A or O shape. The surgeon has significant control over the volume and projection of the fat grafts, allowing them to customise the shape of the curves.

What to Expect

Consultation

During your consultation with Dr. Tillo, your medical history will be discussed to determine your suitability for surgery, and any potential risk factors will be identified. You will then discuss your expectations for a Skinny BBL with Dr. Tillo, and what a realistic outcome from surgery is likely to be.

To help you further visualise your results, we are one of the only clinics in the UK to offer 3D consultations for BBL surgery. This means that you will be able to view a simulation of your own body using the latest technology.

Preparing for Surgery

There are several preparations that are recommended to Skinny BBL patients prior to surgery:

  • Oestrogen contraceptives/HRT – Four weeks prior to surgery, if you take oral contraceptive pills or HRT, you will be required to stop to reduce the risk of thrombosis. If this is applicable to you, make sure that you use alternative contraceptives during this time.
  • Smoking – You will also need to abstain from smoking nicotine (including vaping, patches) four weeks prior to your BBL, as this can also substantially increase the risk of complications.
  • Alcohol – You should aim to reduce your alcohol consumption in the run up to surgery as this can delay your healing.
  • Prepare your home for recovery – Make sure your home is prepped and comfortable for your return, and ensure that you have support in place for chores and caring for children and pets.

The Skinny BBL Procedure

First, Dr. Tillo uses liposuction to remove excess fat from the surrounding areas of the buttocks, such as the stomach, hips, and thighs. Afterwards, he injects the fat into specific areas of the buttocks to produce your desired BBL shape.

As skinnier patients are likely to have less fat, Dr. Tillo will likely perform liposuction on multiple areas of the body. Dr. Tillo can still make a visible change to the butt in leaner patients using less fat. Thus, the surgeon may be able to achieve your desired enhancement, projection, and shape despite having fewer fat grafts than the average BBL patient.

To perform the BEST-F technique, Dr Tillo injects the fat grafts superficially above the gluteal muscle and uses a guided ultrasound device to monitor the fat placement. Thus, it significantly reduces the risk of fat embolisms while enabling the surgeon to produce a more precise shape.

Recovery and Aftercare

You may experience swelling and bruising in your buttocks and around the area where you had liposuction, which will gradually subside over the following weeks. Most patients can return to office work and light daily activities after 2-3 weeks. Follow our BBL aftercare and recovery tips to manage your recovery process and preserve your results.

Results

It usually takes six months for the final BBL results to become apparent, as, by that time, the swelling will completely subside, and the fat cells will have stabilised. At this point, you will have gone through the fluffing phase of your recovery, where your skin stretches to accommodate the fat grafts, which produces a curvier butt that feels natural.

Skinny BBL FAQs

How much fat is needed for a skinny BBL?

The amount of fat required will depend on your BMI. On average, surgeons extract around 1-2 litres of fat through liposuction and inject around 0.5-1 litre of fat into each buttock to create a pronounced enhancement. However, slimmer patients may require less fat to create curves and a noticeable enhancement to the butt.

Can you get substantial results from a skinny BBL?

The volume and projection you will achieve from a BBL will depend on the amount of fat tissue that the surgeon can harvest. Thus, patients who don’t have much body fat are more likely to get a modest enhancement from the surgery. Buttock implants, alone or in combination with a fat transfer procedure, may be more suitable for skinnier patients who want a dramatic enhancement.

What is the difference between a skinny BBL and a regular BBL?

A skinny BBL is a regular Brazilian buttock lift procedure for leaner patients, usually with a BMI below 22. However, both procedures require the same surgical techniques, with the only difference being the amount of fat that the surgeon harvests and transfers into the buttock.

Should I gain weight for a Brazilian butt lift?

We do not recommend that you gain weight for a Brazilian buttock lift unless you wish to remain the same weight after your procedure. Losing weight after surgery causes your fat cells to shrink, including the fat grafts in your butt, which in turn will diminish the results of your surgery.

Can I get rid of hip dips with a skinny BBL?

Yes, a skinny BBL can get rid of hip dips by transferring fat into the area. Visit our blog on BBL for Hip Dips for more information.

Complementary Procedures

Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation

Fat grafting, the surgical procedure part of the BBL surgery, of transferring fat from part of the body to another, can also be used for breast augmentation.

As breasts lose volume in the process of ageing, pregnancy or weight loss,  fat transfer procedures can be used to augment the breast by adding volume and enhancing it, without breast implants.

Patients can then enjoy an increase of up to one cup size and repeat the procedure if they are interested in adding further volume. Fat transfer breast augmentation can also be combined with breast lift surgery

Laser Stretch Mark Removal

Liposuction, the procedure of extracting the fat to be later used to perform the BBL, works to remove excess fat from desired areas, but does not reduce the appearance of stretch marks that are usually visible on the skin where excess fat is retained.

At the CREO Clinic we use the most advanced laser technology by Fotona, to perform minimally invasive laser treatment for stretch marks. The treatment combines both tightening of the skin at the first stage and ablative resurfacing at the second stage, to achieve a significant improvement to skin texture and stretch marks appearance.
