How Much Does Fotona 4D Laser Treatment Cost?

The price of one session of Fotona 4D with Dr. Gina Schoeman begins at £795. Patients who book 3 sessions receive a 10% discount from the total price – a £235 saving.

We also offer Fotona 4D treatment with our nurse, Emily West for £550 per session, or £1,500 for three sessions.

How Does Fotona 4D Laser Cost Compare To Other Laser Treatments?

A Fotona 4D facelift is a comprehensive treatment that involves both the Nd: YAG and Er: YAG lasers, using four unique treatment modes. This offers four times the impact of a single laser treatment and targets multiple facial zones for holistic lifting effects.

In this sense, the Fotona 4D’s all-encompassing nature makes it highly attractive compared to other laser treatments for the face.

A Fotona 4D facelift is marginally more expensive than similar treatments that are zone-specific, such as SmoothEye to target lines around the eyes or LipLase to target wrinkles around the mouth. SmoothEye is included in a Fotona 4D treatment.

What Conditions Does The Fotona 4D Laser Treat?

The Fotona 4D laser can treat a variety of conditions on the face, such as:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Lax skin
  • Surface level blemishes
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Dull and/or textured skin

How Does Fotona 4D Laser Treatment Work?

The Fotona 4D treatment combines both Er: YAG (2940 nm) and Nd: YAG (1064 nm) laser modalities. The two modalities are used in four distinct phases to tighten the skin, improve the complexion of the skin, boost new collagen production, and provide an overall rejuvenation of the face.

Four Treatment Modes

SMOOTH® Mode

The first of the four modes of the Fotona 4D treatment is the unique SMOOTH® mode or SmoothLiftin™ stage – a non-ablative Er: YAG laser. This is the only laser treatment that uses controlled heating of the skin via the roof of the mouth.

The SmoothLiftin™ stage is designed to stimulate collagen contraction above the lips and the nasolabial folds. This process immediately shrinks collagen fibres and initiates new collagen production in these zones.

FRAC3® Mode

The next phase of the Fotona 4D treatment is the FRAC3® mode. This laser mode has a fractional effect and pulses light to create small, targeted spikes of high temperature. This mobility allows the treatment of deeper skin blemishes to help enhance the texture of the skin.

PIANO® Mode

The PIANO® mode is the third phase of the 4D treatment, creating bulk heating of the tissues that concentrate energy in the subcutaneous layers. PIANO® is an ultra-long Nd: YAG pulse mode that creates an overall skin tightening effect.

SupErficial™ Mode

To add the finishing touches to your Fotona 4D treatment is the fourth stage: SupErficial™ Mode. A light cold ablated Er: YAG laser resurfaces the skin and reduces superficial imperfections through Variable Square Pulse (VSP) technology. our experts are able to adjust the laser and control a cold light face peel to fine-tune the appearance of the skin.

Who’s A Good Candidate For Fotona 4D Laser Treatment?

Any adult who has concerns about fine lines or wrinkles on the face or a loss of facial skin texture or tone that may occur as a result of ageing can be a good candidate for Fotona 4D laser treatment. For people wishing to avoid chemical products or undergo surgery, Fotona 4D treatment can be an ideal and effective skin-tightening alternative.

Benefits Of Fotona 4D Laser Treatment

Collagen Stimulation And Production

In order to stimulate collagen production in the skin, Fotona 4D laser treatment applies heat to the subcutaneous layers. This new collagen helps to rejuvenate the skin of the face, fighting the natural loss of collagen that occurs as we age. As a result, patients can enjoy tighter, glowing skin.

Non-Surgical Facelift

For many people, a surgical facelift can entail too much discomfort and require significant downtime. A Fotona 4D facelift offers a viable, non-invasive alternative for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who wish to have the benefits of skin rejuvenation and avoid surgical treatment.

Reduction Of Fine Lines & Wrinkles

The wrinkles and fine lines that appear on the face as we age can be hard to get rid of once they appear. Fotona 4D treatment is effective at reducing these wrinkles and tightening up the skin by stimulating collagen production.

Improved Skin Texture & Tone

The third stage of the 4D treatment – SupErficial™ mode – works to gently resurface the skin to improve the skin’s texture, tone, and pigmentation. As a result, patients can enjoy smoother skin, free from surface-level imperfections and hyperpigmentation.

Minimally Invasive

A surgical facelift requires a great deal more downtime and discomfort than a Fotona 4D facelift. Fotona 4D’s laser skin tightening means that no incisions are required, and patients can return to daily activities immediately.

Customisable Treatment

Whatever your particular aesthetic concerns, Fotona 4D treatment can be tailored to treat your specific aesthetic concerns. Our experts can adjust settings and select the right mode for each and every skin concern, formulating a bespoke treatment plan that covers all of your needs.

Before And After Results

How Long Do The Results From Fotona 4D Laser Treatment Last?

How Long Fotona 4D results last depends on the patient – age and existing collagen levels are important indicators. In general, the results last for up to 1-2 years.

One maintenance session every six months may be needed for patients under 50 years old and every four months for patients 50 and above. Additional maintenance treatments will not only keep the original effects ‘topped up’ but will also continue to improve them with each additional session.

Recovery Process And Aftercare for Fotona 4D Laser

There is no recovery period after a Fotona 4D procedure, which means you can return to your daily routine and work immediately. It should be noted that many patients experience a degree of redness in the treated areas of the face that should dissipate after one or two days.

However, there are some after-care steps to take into account during your recovery. The following steps may help produce optimal results:

  • Wear a high-factor sunscreen for at least the first 2 weeks after treatment
  • Do not pick, peel, scrape, or scratch the treated skin to avoid scarring
  • Rinse the treatment area with water and pat dry for the first day after treatment
  • Apply moisturiser regularly to keep the skin hydrated
  • Avoid applying makeup for the first 24 hours after treatment
  • Avoid exercise immediately after treatment
