How Much Liposuction Cost in the UK?

Black Woman Sitting And Showing Her Legs

Many patients wishing to undergo liposuction want thorough information on the price of treatment at the outset. In this article, we’ll explain how we calculate the cost of your liposuction procedure, including any additional costs you may incur to ensure you don’t encounter any hidden fees when scheduling your surgery.

For each patient, the cost of the treatment will depend on the size of the treatment areas, the liposuction technology, and the overall complexity of the surgery. Therefore, you will receive the price of your liposuction treatment after consulting with our plastic surgeon, who will design a bespoke cosmetic surgery procedure to produce your desired results.

Dr. Omar Tillo, the medical director at the CREO Clinic, is a body contouring expert providing bespoke treatment built around a patient’s equally unique needs. To book a consultation with Dr. Tillo, contact the CREO Clinic today.

How Much Does Liposuction Cost?

The price of liposuction can vary based on a range of factors, including the number of areas treated, the amount of fat removed as well as the type of liposuction performed. In general, prices for liposuction range from £5,200 – £9,800.

How Much Liposuction Cost In The Uk?

Number of Areas for Liposuction

One of the most important factors contributing to liposuction prices is the number of areas you choose to treat. In short, the more areas you treat with surgical procedures, the higher the cost will be – this is because more areas require more time in the theatre and with the surgical team.

At the CREO Clinic, prices rise in increments based on the size and number of areas, as shown below:

Number of AreasPrice
1 area£5,200
2 areas£6,400
3 areas£7,200
4 areas (360 Lipo)£8,200
5 areas£9,000
6 areas£9,800

Additional Factors

  • Size of Treatment Area(s) – The size of the areas you are treating with liposuction surgery can also contribute to price. For example, at the CREO Clinic the cost of one small area (e.g. the chin or neck) will be different to the price of one large area (e.g. the chest or abdomen) – this is because larger areas require more time in surgery.
  • Level of Definition – The level of definition required by the patient will influence the overall cost of your liposuction. For example, HD liposuction, including abdominal etching usually requires specialist tools, takes longer to perform, and can only be performed by a few surgeons with the correct training and experience, raising the cost.
  • Type of Liposuction – The CREO Clinic offers three alternatives to traditional liposuction: BodyTite, Vaser, PAL, and Renuvion. Each method of liposuction can provide different benefits and surgical skills on the part of the surgeon or time in surgery.

Why Creo Clinic is Different

At the CREO Clinic, we are built on an ethos of transparency and speciality. For this reason, our body contouring surgeon only specialises in and performs surgical procedures from the neck down. Dr. Tillo has therefore amassed the specialist skills and experience needed to conduct transformational liposuction procedures for his patients.

For patients seeking to spread the cost of their treatment, the CREO Clinic also provides a range of financing options, including interest free financing for up to one year.

What’s Included In The Price?

The aforementioned prices are inclusive of:

  • Local anaesthetic and anaesthetist fees
  • Surgeon’s fees
  • Nurses’ fees
  • Use of the surgical facility
  • Compression garments
  • Follow-up appointments to monitor your progress

There are additional charges for private prescriptions from Dr. Tillo as well as the use of chaperone services, additional examinations or scans, and lymphatic drainage massages.

Types of Liposuction

Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (Vaser)

Vaser liposuction utilises ultrasound energy to target fat cells close to the muscle, breaking fat apart before removing it from the body. As a result, the targeted areas can be treated with greater precision to allow finer contouring. Patients who are seeking to tone smaller areas of the body, such as the back of the arms, are ideal candidates for Vaser liposuction.

BodyTite

BodyTite, also known as radiofrequency assisted liposuction, is a minimally invasive liposuction procedure using sound energy to break up fat and tighten the skin at the same time. In doing so, BodyTite is regarded as a highly effective body contouring procedure with the added benefit of minimal downtime.

Renuvion

Renuvion combines helium plasma and radiofrequency energy to gently heat the connective tissue beneath the skin, causing shrinking and contraction. In addition, by heating these tissues, Renuvion stimulates collagen production.  As a result, patients can enjoy tighter, rejuvenated skin without damaging the dermis.

Power Assisted Liposuction

Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL) is a fat removal surgery that uses motorised cannulas that vibrate and move in different directions to release the fat before it is suctioned out of the body. PAL is preferred by many due to its effectiveness at removing larger amounts of fat and for being less labour-intensive. In addition, PAL is favoured for use in fat transfer procedures as it minimises the damage done to the harvested fat.

What Areas Of The Body Can Liposuction Treat?

Our liposuction surgeons perform traditional liposuction, a minimally invasive procedure, on targeted areas of the body containing excess fat that the patient wishes to contour. The image below details each body part that we can sculpt with a liposuction.

Combining Procedures With Liposuction

Fat Transfer

Fat transfer is a cosmetic surgery that extracts excess fat through liposuction surgery and injects it into a part of the body that the patient wishes to enhance. In particular, Brazilian Butt Lift and breast augmentation are two popular surgeries that add volume through fat transfer.

As with liposuction, the cost of a fat transfer treatment depends on the number and size of the sections you wish to treat.

Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a surgery that removes excess skin, and in some cases, tightens the abdominal muscles. Surgeons use liposuction during a tummy tuck when patients have a significant amount of excess fat in the abdomen and want to define the muscles.

Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia, commonly called ‘man boobs’, is a condition that leads to the enlargement of breast tissue in men. In many cases, the accumulation of excess fat in the chest can cause or accentuate gynecomastia. In such cases, surgeons use liposuction alone or with gynecomastia surgery, also known as male breast reduction.

Side Effects With Liposuction

After surgery, patients may experience side effects such as swelling, bruising and some numbness in the treatment zones. These typically dissipate within a few days.

Who’s A Candidate For Liposuction In The UK

A good candidate should be seeking to remove excess, stubborn fat deposits in their body. Candidates should also:

  • Be in good physical and psychological health.
  • Be at their ideal weight, with a BMI below 35. You can find out whether you have a suitable BMI by using our BMI calculator.
  • Have realistic expectations about the results liposuction can achieve.

Is Liposuction Worth It?

Liposuction is a popular cosmetic procedure thanks to its ability to finely contour targeted areas of the body. Liposuction permanently removes stubborn fat deposits that can’t be treated with lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise alone. In addition, liposuction requires relatively little downtime compared to other cosmetic procedures.

For these reasons, the vast majority of patients consider it to be a worthwhile procedure.
