How Does Renuvion Work?

By utilising the power of helium plasma energy and radio-frequency, a Renuvion treatment is able deliver precise thermal effects to the connective tissue beneath the surface of the skin. This causes collagen contraction, resulting in an immediate tightening effect.

Renuvion also stimulates collagenesis. This means that the skin’s appearance will continue to improve for 6-9 months after treatment, as new collagen is created.

Patients with mild or moderately loose skin who are seeking to tighten the skin without undergoing more drastic surgical procedures like a facelift or body-lift are best suited to undergo Renuvion. Patients should also:

    • Be in good physical and mental health
    • Be at a suitable BMI for treatment, below 35. Use our BMI checker to find out if you are eligible.
    • Have realistic expectations about the results Renuvion can achieve.

    The Renuvion Procedure

Renuvion can be carried out under local or general anaesthetic, or sedation and takes 1-6 hours to complete depending on the size and number of areas treated.

A small incision is made in the treatment area to insert the Renuvion device into the skin. This delivers a precise and controlled supply of energy, causing the small ligaments and bands that hold the skin to the muscle to contract. As a result, just one treatment can tighten skin and leave it rejuvenated while also stimulating collagen production.

What You Can Expect After Renuvion Skin Tightening Treatment

    How Long Recovery Last

After Renuvion, you may experience some discomfort, bruising and swelling as your body heals. You will need to wear a compression garment after your procedure for several days to manage this swelling and promote skin retraction.

The length of the recovery period is dependent on the size and parts of the body treated. However, most patients typically feel able to return to daily activities and office work within 2-3 days, but should refrain from exercise for up to 6 weeks.

    When Will You See Results

Immediately after Renuvion, you will notice an improvement to your skin quality, and it will appear tighter due to the contraction of the soft tissue. The results will then continue to gradually improve over the next 6-9 months as collagen remodelling begins and the body heals, with swelling completely dissipating.

    How Much Does Renuvion Cost

The price of Renuvion at the CREO Clinic starts from £6,900.

For patients seeking to spread the cost of their treatment, we offer a range of financing options, including interest free financing for up to 12 months.

    Frequently Asked Questions about Renuvion

How is Renuvion different from a traditional facelift?

Renuvion, like the traditional facelift, shares a common goal to tighten loose skin and restore a youthful appearance. However, Renuvion is not a skin removal surgery and differs in that it is a minimally invasive procedure requiring a series of smaller incisions, whereas a facelift and similar surgical procedures typically require more extensive incisions. Overall, Renuvion is best suited to patients with mild to moderate skin laxity, whereas surgical procedures (including a facelift) are designed for more severe cases of skin laxity.

    Does Renuvion leave scarring?

Renuvion only requires a set of small, keyhole incisions which result in minimal scarring. However, these scars typically fade over time as the body heals.

Is Renuvion FDA Approved and safe?

Like all surgical and non surgical cosmetic procedures, Renuvion carries some risks, including bleeding, infection, skin texture changes, and asymmetrical results. Therefore, finding a plastic surgeon with sufficient qualifications and experience carrying out the procedure is essential.
