What Is Fotona 4D Laser Treatment?

Fotona 4D is a revolutionary four-stage laser treatment by Fotona, offering extensive skin tightening treatments while simultaneously treating pigmentation, wrinkles, and texture. By combining two different wavelengths (the Nd: YAG and Er: YAG), Fotona 4D is able to stimulate collagen and elastin production, creating comprehensive skin tightening and rejuvenation.

Benefits Of Fotona 4D

Fotona 4D has many unique benefits:

  • Provides extensive skin tightening and rejuvenation in a single treatment
  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production for a firmer, lifted appearance
  • Rejuvenates the skin to create a youthful glow and improves the overall skin complexion
  • Side effects and downtime required are minimal
  • Results are long-lasting, with effects lasting up to a year

What is Morpheus8 Radiofrequency Microneedling?

Morpheus8 is an advanced microneedling treatment that harnesses the power of radiofrequency energy. The Morpheus8 device is able to provide controlled trauma to the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating elastin and collagen production without damaging the skin’s surface.

  • Tightens and reshapes contours of the face
  • Stimulates elastin and collagen production for a firmer, more youthful appearance

Differences Between Fotona 4D And Morpheus8

Which Treatment Is Better For Your Skin?

Both Fotona 4D and Morpheus8 offer a range of unique aesthetic benefits for your skin, and, therefore, the ‘better’ treatment will depend on what issues you are looking to resolve.

For example, Fotona 4D is a better option for patients wishing to treat the early signs of ageing, like dull skin with mild laxity. Alternatively, Morpheus8 is better for treating skin texture issues like acne scarring as it offers improved skin complexion.

At CREO, we recommend Fotona 4D as it is a more versatile treatment that is less painful and requires less downtime.

Expected Recovery Timelines

Recovery from Fotona 4D is immediate, though patients may experience some redness for the first few days after the skin tightening treatment.

In comparison, downtime can vary more for Morpheus8, depending on the depth of treatment performed. For superficial treatment, downtime should be limited to 24-48 hours. However, for deeper treatments, patients can expect a full recovery in five days.
